Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) can feel overwhelming—how do you know where to start, which processes to focus on, or how to make the documents truly useful? This course will help you identify your most critical processes using a risk-based approach, define the purpose and outcomes of your SOPs, and get your team on board with the documentation process.
You’ll also learn how to write, evaluate, and improve SOPs using practical strategies and templates. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining existing documentation, this course will give you tools to build consistency, clarity, and collaboration into your processes.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Prioritize your processes
- Draft a clear scope, purpose, and outcome for each SOP
- Understand the essential components of a strong SOP
- Evaluate existing SOPs
- Implement improvements to strengthen current documentation
This course should take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete.
